Enviro Shield

The insigh.io Enviro shield is our flagship shield, providing support for multiple sensors at once: 

• SDI-12
• Modbus-RTU
• High-precision Analogue
• 4-20mA current and 
• Pulse counters

These interfaces are typically found in sensors applicable to Agriculture, Environmental and Industrial Monitoring. The shield It has been tested with a variety of sensors, namely:

• Micro-climatic weather stations in farms
• Air Quality monitors in cities
• Radar and pressure measuring water depth/height in lakes/rivers

It is a super flexible board as with the help of jumpers/selectors the user can configure:

• The sensor supply voltage, choosing from 5V, 9V and 12V options
• Whether a sensor is powered continuously or on a periodic basis

Product Versions

• v1 is part of a logger bundle that has undergone Certification. EU Declaration of Conformance documents are available upon request.
• v2 is the latest development version with the certification process ongoing.

Product Use

• The product is intended for professional and industrial use. 
• Connection of external sensors and maintenance operations shall be carried out only by trained personnel.
• It is explicitly stated which product versions conform with EU regulation. Declaration of conformance documents are available upon request.
• All other product versions are intended only for engineering development, research and development, demonstration and/or evaluation purposes used by professionals, and neither are considered by the company to be finished end-product fit for general use, nor fall within the scope of the European Union directives.
