The insigh.io LoRa connectivity shield is used for enriching the main board connectivity capabilities with LoRa/LoRaWAN technology. LoRa communication is enabled with a RAK3172 modem from RAK Wireless. 

Add-ons

The module comes with:

  • A flex ribbon cable for attaching the shield to the main board
  • An external flexible antenna in the ISM 868 MHz band used for the LoRa modem
  • (optionally) A dedicated GPS and an external flexible antenna for ensuring consistent tracking

Network Server

  • The product can be used with any LoRaWAN network server, using the provided encoders/decoders.
  • Optionally a LoRaWAN network server can be provided from insigh.io, with data directly ported to Console.
